The five-stage accreditation, explained

Insurance, licence, references, training, inspected work. Here's what each of the five accreditation stages actually checks — and why none of them are optional.

Every tradie on T2U carries a T2U Trade Number. It's not a badge you can buy — it's proof that five separate checks have been passed. Here's exactly what each stage means.

Stage 1 — Insurance confirmed

Public liability insurance is verified directly, not just claimed on a profile. If a tradie can't prove they're covered, they don't get past step one.

Stage 2 — Licence checked

We validate the tradie's licence against the issuing authority for their trade and state. The right ticket for the right work — no exceptions.

Stage 3 — References called

Three real past customers, spoken to by a human. We ask about communication, reliability, and quality — not just "would you hire them again?"

References aren't a form you fill in. They're a phone call we make.

Stage 4 — T2U course passed

Technical skill is table stakes. Our course covers the part most platforms ignore: how to communicate, show up on time, and follow through.

Stage 5 — Three jobs inspected

Before accreditation is granted, a T2U representative physically inspects three completed jobs. We look at the work, not just the paperwork.

Only then is a T2U Trade Number issued — verifiable instantly by any customer, anytime.
